New Patients

It is easy to make an appointment for your initial examination and dental treatments. Call 415-296-9111 to speak with a staff member.

All fees will be discussed prior to procedures. We accept most dental insurance plans, and we process all insurance claims.

Health and Safety Plan

Signage will be posted at all public entrances to the practice regarding COVID-19 health and safety protocols including (but not limited to) wearing face coverings at all times except when dental treatment is being delivered, maintaining six-foot physical distance from others whenever possible and avoiding all unnecessary contacts.

Dr. Mak and her employees will “self-screen” daily for any signs that they may be sick and will not report to work until they can be tested for COVID-19 and then cleared to return to work if negative and when symptoms resolve.

Patients will be required to read an online COVID questionnaire which is part of the appointment reminder within 48 hours and 2 hours of their scheduled appointment and will be re-scheduled if symptomatic.

Dr. Mak and all employees are required to wear employer-provided face surgical grade mask at all times within the facility. Clinical employees are required to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE; N95 mask, shield, surgical gowns..) while providing direct patient care and will be instructed on its proper use.

Your temperature will be recorded at the time of the arrival with a touch less infrared thermometer. The patient will be instructed to wash their hands and rinse with a pre-treatment oral rinse recommended by CDC to reduce potential germ transmission during the treatment.

Hand sanitizer will also be provided at high-touch points throughout the practice.

All dental appointments will be scheduled with additional time allotted between patients to allow for more enhanced disinfection.

Making an Appointment
It is easy to make an appointment for your initial examination and dental treatments with Dr. Minoo Makassebi, DDS.  Simply call 415-296-9111 and one of our friendly team members will be happy to assist you.  If you schedule an appointment and something comes up, please call and cancel 24 hours in advance so that we can accommodate other patient requests.
What to Expect
Walk into our lobby where you will be greeted by our friendly staff.  We will provide you with new patient paperwork that includes a health questionnaire, request for your insurance information and contact information.   We will also provide you with information to familiarize you with our office and how we handle things like patient privacy.
Initial Examination
Your initial dental exam will take around one hour.  The experienced staff at Dr. Minoo Makassebi, DDS will ask you questions, get to know your oral hygiene routine, and listen to your health concerns.  We believe in educating patients and empowering them to make good choices to improve their oral health.  We will demonstrate how to properly care for your teeth and make additional suggestions as needed. Our dental hygienist will clean your teeth then Dr. Makassebi will complete your examination and make recommendations for proposed dental treatments.
Pain Concerns
We work to ensure our patients feel comfortable, and that includes minimizing their pain as much as possible.  If you are undergoing a dental procedure, Dr. Makassebi will meet with you to discuss your pain tolerance and create a plan for pain management.  Working together, we will treat your dental health problems in a way that minimizes pain and enables you to get back to your life faster.
